Evan Mobley (calf) to miss 1-3 weeks
Tue, Jan 27, 2026, 10:21 AM
Cavaliers
Evan Mobley (calf) will be re-evaluated in 1-3 weeks.
Analysis: Mobley suffered a calf injury in Monday's game against the Magic. A Tuesday MRI revealed a left calf strain. The 24-year-old center is set to miss the next 1-3 weeks before he's re-evaluated. Dean Wade should continue to start for Cleveland with Mobley sidelined and every Cavaliers starter should see a boost in usage.
Evan Mobley
Evan Mobley has 20 points, nine boards vs. Orlando
Mon, Jan 26, 2026, 3:50 PM
Evan Mobley tallied 20 points (9-of-16 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one three-pointer in the win over the Magic on Monday.
Analysis: Mobley followed an inefficient 13-point showing against the Magic on Saturday with a much better overall performance in Monday's rematch. He shot the ball well, leading him to finish as one of two Cavaliers players to score at least 20 points. Additionally, his solid work on the glass left him just shy of a double-double. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year added a couple of blocks on defense and even chipped in a three-pointer on the end, giving him a fine fantasy basketball performance altogether. He'll have a chance to put together another good stat line on Wednesday against the Lakers.
Donovan Mitchell
Donovan Mitchell explodes for 45 points in win
Mon, Jan 26, 2026, 3:44 PM
Donovan Mitchell added 45 points (15-of-25 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal and five three-pointers in the win over the Magic on Monday.
Analysis: Just two days after dropping 36 points on the Magic in a win, Mitchell torched Orlando again on Monday. Efficient shooting, great three-point production, and lots of work at the charity stripe led the veteran shooting guard to his fifth 40-point game of the season. He also led all Cleveland starters in assists, as the Cavs put together their fourth straight win. Mitchell has been sensational all season long in what's been, statistically, his most productive season as a pro. He'll face the Lakers and then the Suns to close out January.
De'Andre Hunter

Chris Fedor
De'Andre Hunter (illness) is out for Monday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: Hunter will miss a second consecutive game as he deals with a sore right knee. Rookie Tyrese Proctor saw his playing time increase in Saturday's win over Orlando, and that should be the case on Monday as well. However, he should only be rostered in dynasty leagues.
Darius Garland
Darius Garlan (toe) back at practice Monday
Mon, Jan 26, 2026, 11:58 AM
Danny Cunningham
Darius Garland (toe) practiced on Monday ahead of the game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Garland has already been ruled out for Monday's game against the Magic, but was on the floor earlier in the day, according to Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson, who also declined to comment on whether or not Garland will play in Cleveland's upcoming five-game west coast road trip. The seventh-year pro has had a tough time staying healthy this season, having only appeared in 26 games thus far. Yet his return to the floor is noteworthy and could be seen as encouraging news for fantasy basketball managers.
Sam Merrill
Sam Merrill (personal) out Monday vs. Magic
Mon, Jan 26, 2026, 9:11 AM
NBA Injury Report
Sam Merrill (personal) is out for Monday's matchup with the Magic.
Analysis: Merrill came into the day questionable after missing five straight games with a hand injury, but he'll ultimately be ruled out due to personal reasons. His absence will mean more playing time for Jaylon Tyson and Dean Wade.
Sam Merrill
Sam Merrill (hand) questionable Monday vs. ORL
Sun, Jan 25, 2026, 10:45 AM
NBA Injury Report
Sam Merrill (hand) is questionable for Monday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: Merrill has missed Cleveland's last five games with a right hand injury. His absence has created more opportunities for Jaylon Tyson and Dean Wade, with the former being part of the starting lineup.
De'Andre Hunter
De'Andre Hunter (illness) questionable Monday
Sun, Jan 25, 2026, 10:41 AM
NBA Injury Report
De'Andre Hunter (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: Hunter did not play in Saturday's win over the Magic, with his absence factoring into rookie Tyrese Proctor picking up rotation minutes off the bench. Even if Hunter remains out, Proctor should only be rostered in dynasty leagues.
Donovan Mitchell
Mitchell torches Magic for 36 points in win
Sat, Jan 24, 2026, 3:42 PM
Donovan Mitchell powered the Cavaliers to a 119-105 win over the Magic on Saturday with a game-high 36 points (15-of-30 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, nine assists and two steals over 37 minutes.
Analysis: Mitchell topped 30 points for the second consecutive contest as he hoisted a season-high 30 shot attempts while also dishing out nine assists. It was an impressive all-around effort for the 29-year-old fantasy star as he continues to deliver first-round fantasy value, averaging 29.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.2 blocks through 43 games. The Cavaliers have a rematch against the Magic on Monday before closing out a four-game week with matchups against the Lakers, Suns and Trail Blazers.
De'Andre Hunter
De'Andre Hunter (illness) downgraded to out

Chris Fedor
De'Andre Hunter (illness) is out for Saturday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: Hunter was a late addition to the Cavaliers' injury report, and now he's officially out. Cleveland's bench rotation takes a hit, but this won't significantly affect fantasy basketball. Nae'Qwan Tomlin may pick up a few more minutes, but there's no need to stream him.
De'Andre Hunter
De'Andre Hunter (illness) questionable Saturday
Sat, Jan 24, 2026, 11:37 AM
NBA Injury Report
De'Andre Hunter (illness) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: Hunter is a late addition to the injury report, with Saturday's game scheduled to tip off at 7 PM Eastern. His availability does not have a significant impact on fantasy basketball, even with Sam Merrill being out. There may be a few more minutes for Nae'Qwan Tomlin, but he should not be streamed when coming off the bench.
Sam Merrill
Sam Merrill (hand) out Saturday vs. Magic
Sat, Jan 24, 2026, 6:48 AM
Sam Merrill (hand) is out for Saturday's game against the Magic.
Analysis: Merrill is set to miss his fifth consecutive game with a hand injury. Jaylon Tyson and Dean Wade should remain in the starting lineup with Merrill out while De'Andre Hunter continues to occupy a bench role.
Evan Mobley
Evan Mobley posts 29/13/8 line with four swats
Fri, Jan 23, 2026, 6:19 PM
Evan Mobley lit up the Kings with 29 points (13-of-24 FGs), 13 rebounds, eight assists and four blocks in a 123-118 win on Friday.
Analysis: Mobley had a rough stretch as a rebounder earlier this month, but the last two games have shown that won't continue. He recorded his second straight double-double and matched his season high for both points and assists. Mobley has had a strong season overall, though his points, rebounds and shooting percentages are down from last season. He'll look to stay hot in Orlando on Saturday.
Donovan Mitchell
Mitchell scores game-high 33 points in win
Fri, Jan 23, 2026, 6:14 PM
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 33 points (11-of-25 FGs), five rebounds, eight assists, one steal and five three-pointers against the Kings on Friday.
Analysis: Mitchell had a few rough performances in a row entering this game. After two poor shooting nights, he had eight turnovers against the Hornets on Wednesday. This outing was closer to his high-level production that we're accustomed to getting. He led the team in scoring and had his fifth 30-point outing of the month. This was the first night of a back-to-back, and he'll look to stay hot in Orlando on Saturday.
Sam Merrill
Sam Merrill (hand) remains out vs. Sacramento
Thu, Jan 22, 2026, 11:37 AM
NBA Injury Report
Sam Merrill (hand) has been ruled out against the Kings on Friday.
Analysis: This will be a fourth straight absence for Merrill, who has been in and out of the starting lineup when available. Jaylon Tyson and Dean Wade should remain the starters for Cleveland with Merrill still out, while De'Andre Hunter should continue to fill out big minutes off the bench.
Evan Mobley
Evan Mobley grabs game-high 14 rebounds vs. CHA
Wed, Jan 21, 2026, 4:04 PM
Evan Mobley amassed 14 points (6-of-13 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 14 rebounds, one steal and three blocks in Wednesday's win over the Hornets.
Analysis: Not only did Mobley record his 16th double-double, but he also matched his season-high with 14 rebounds. Add in the steals and blocks, and this was a good night for Mobley managers, even with the limited scoring. Over the past two weeks, Mobley has offered top-20 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The Cavaliers return home to host the Kings on Friday.
Donovan Mitchell
Donovan Mitchell scores team-high 24 points
Wed, Jan 21, 2026, 4:04 PM
Donovan Mitchell finished Wednesday's win over the Hornets with 24 points (8-of-20 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), three rebounds, six assists, one steal and two three-pointers.
Analysis: Mitchell and the Cavaliers were coasting through the first half of Wednesday's game, but they were unable to close out the Hornets until the final seconds. With Darius Garland (toe) out, the Cavaliers have to rely more on Mitchell as a playmaker instead of just looking to him for scoring. He's recorded six assists or more in three of his last four games, and that should be a common occurrence while Garland is out.
Sam Merrill
Sam Merrill (hand) out Wednesday vs. Hornets
Tue, Jan 20, 2026, 11:04 AM
Sam Merrill (hand) is out for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Merrill is set to miss his third game in a row after injuring his right hand last week against the 76ers. De'Andre Hunter will figure more prominently with the Cavaliers' second unit while Merrill remains out, though he's not nearly as enticing a fantasy option as he was last season.
De'Andre Hunter
De'Andre Hunter puts up 16 points, nine rebounds
Mon, Jan 19, 2026, 11:37 AM
De'Andre Hunter provided a boost off the bench with 16 points (3-of-13 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, two three-pointers and five turnovers against the Thunder on Monday.
Analysis: Hunter followed up a poor two-game stretch with two solid performances in consecutive games against the 76ers. While he was able to score in double figures once again, it came inefficiently. Both the poor shooting and turnovers limited the impact that his rebounds and free throws would have made. Hunter has never been a great option in category leagues, and now that he is coming off the bench, his upside is limited. Still, he is better than what he put together in this game and should respond against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Donovan Mitchell
Mitchell leads Cavs with inefficient 19 points
Mon, Jan 19, 2026, 11:32 AM
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 19 points (5-of-18 FGs, 8-of-11 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, three steals and one three-pointer in a 136-104 loss to the Thunder on Monday.
Analysis: Mitchell was the leading scorer for Cleveland and was one of five Cavs to score in double figures. However, it wasn't an efficient shooting night, and steals aside, he didn't contribute much value for fantasy managers. It was a tough matchup, but he also struggled against the 76ers on Friday, where he was held to 13 points on 4-of-13 shooting. After a rough stretch, he'll look to get back on track against the Hornets on Wednesday.
